Design Concept
I wanted to explore 3D printing on fabric. I learned that to achieve this, I needed to start the 3D printing process, pause it to place the fabric on top, and then resume printing, allowing the 3D print to embed the fabric in between.

Material Testing 2 (Fail):
The printing on the mask failed because the mask is not made entirely of fabric; it contains plastic. The heat caused the plastic to melt.

Material Testing 3 (Fail):
I then experimented using a shopping bag as the fabric. I predicted that the size and density of the holes would impact the success of creating 3D fabric.
To test this hypothesis, I prepared three types of "holes" on the same piece of fabric: the original natural small holes inherent to the material, manually cut larger but less dense holes, and smaller but denser holes created by poking the fabric.
